The Immortals

First of all, congratulations to Ohio State on a game that was far closer than the score. Oden is truly the real deal – not only did he play virtually the entire game, he shut down any sort of interior game we had. We simply had no scoring presence in the paint. And were it not for the sniper like accuracy of Humphrey and our outside game, this outcome would have been different. OSU came to play

The magnitude of this accomplishment has yet to sink in. Back to back National Championships. Five players who returned to do it again, and did.

Written forever into the annals of Gator fame.

The true “Fab Five”.

The Immortals.

Gators, congrats! I was surprisingly happy with our effort last night against a far superior team. I knew it going in and it was obvious after it was over. I said we needed the perfect game and didn't get it. Oden was spectacular, Conley was exceptional but we couldn't hit a three to save our life. To the 100 or so Buckeyes I was surrounded by I kept saying, "keep the ball away from Humphrey." Didn't happen and the rest is literally history. Throw in the fact that Brewer and Green started hitting them, too and we were toast by the end of the first half.

I think it's safe to say, you own Ohio State, much in the same way we own Michigan, just on a championship level. Congrats again. You guys were awesome.

Florida played a DAMN good game last night; they kept the turnovers down and in spite of the fouling going on (Richard eventually fouled out) they were a little more efficient on defense and shooting from the perimeter, which was a key factor in the win.

These kids are a special bunch, and who knows when we'll ever see this again. Team unity has been very strong in these past two years, and their unselfishness drove them to success. I'd love to see one more year of Noah, Brewer, Horford and Green, but who knows what they'll decide to do after this year.

Still, the Year of the Gator continues!!!!!!!

Actually, it wasn't so much keeping the turnovers down. I think Florida had more Turnovers than OSU. BUT, Florida got back on D, and kept OSU from scoring...

and in the first half, Florida scored on ALL 6 OF OSU'S TURNOVERS. Wow...

When they said that this was the first starting five in the history of the NBA to repeat...that left me a bit speachless...

although I find it hard to believe that Wooden didn't have one back to back starting five in all his 10 years of titles...

Truly a great group.

Threepeat?

Humphrey is amazing, a new record for total 3 point shots made in the NCAA tournament?!

Besides, this isn't the "Fab 5"

...This is the "Fab 6" with Richards baby!

I have a lot of respect for Ohio State. They left it all on the floor and did not give up. You just don't see a team come around often like this Gator team. We will miss them.
