Michigan's Defense - An Illusion

On December 6th I posted a piece challenging the commonly held belief that Michigan had a top quality defense. See here.

Tonight’s game put an exclamation on that point.

USC shredded Michigan’s defense for 432 total yards and 32 points. Michigan now has a two game losing streak. In those games, against the best two teams Michigan played this year, the vastly overrated Michigan defense surrendered a total of 935 yards offense, and 74 points.

As John Saunders just said at the end of the telecast - "We now know the right two teams are playing for the national championship."
