Kick Hornsby Off

If this is even remotely true, Coach Meyer must throw Jamar Hornsby off the football team.

Which should only be the start of his consequences.

I agree completely. Call me crazy, but I think any time a player is charged with a felony, they should be kicked off the team. ESPECIALLY when it's *MY* team... at least if it's the 'Canes we can insult them for it...

He's gone.

"He is not a part of our program," Florida coach Urban Meyer said in a news release.

Least he wasted no time in taking action.

I'm glad Meyer did the right thing and kicked Hornsby off the team. It wasn't the first time he's broken team rules, and this latest episode was not only 3-strikes-you're-out, he had broken one of Meyer's core values by stealing a credit card and committing fraud.

It sucks that this incident breaks our perfect record of no player arrests in 2008, but at least Meyer acted appropriately and wasted no time in doing so. After all the incidents in 2007 I see Meyer taking a zero-tolerance stnad as far as disciplinary issues go this year.
