Introducing Gator KGB

Always in sync with the flow of things, we at Saurian Sagacity have decided to introduce a new blogger – after the season has ended. Sure, our timing might not be the best, but we felt we could wait no longer to unleash the blogging talents of our newest contributor – GatorKGB.

GatorKGB grew up in Gainesville and attended both undergrad and law school (with yours truly) there. He is as Gator as Gator comes.

Even after losing to Georgia last year, GatorKGB grabbed the bull horn and taunted Dawg fans. They pretty much took it.

A quick story to our readers to introduce GatorKGB that occurred during last year’s SEC Championship game. With the score Florida 24 – Arkansas 21 very early in the 4th quarter (14:22), and with stress levels running high, he turned to a group of us and, invoking some sort of cosmic plea, said, “If Florida can score on this play, I swear I’ll leave.” Improbably on the very next play Percy Harvin ripped off a 67 yard touchdown run. A man of his word,
GatorKGB turned to us, said “Goodbye everyone, I'm out of here”. He shook hands, gathered his belongings and left, unwilling to test such provident fortune. A true Gator fan indeed.

Part insightful analyst, part critic and part provocateur – but always entertaining, we welcome GatorKBG to the Saurian Sagacity fold.

Welcome GatorKGB. So... let's see some chatter!!!

How about getting started with an article using the following fodder...

Over the last week +, there have been several very good articles in support of a playoff. I really think people are starting to "get" it. The movement is getting a head of steam and it might just happen in the foreseeable future. Here's recent articles I'm aware of, including one that was emailed to me this morning:

He certainly seems to have the background to be credible...

Despite the fact he is drinking a Miller Lite...

I'll try not to hold that against him...

Don't hold the Miller Lite against him. It was quite a bit after the game, and our drinking usually goes like this -

1. Early Pregame - Bloody Marys (first hit on the Vodka)
2. Normal Pregame - Premium beers
3. Game - Smuggled Liquor (end of Vodka and any other spirts)
4. Postgame - Remnants (cheap beer that was usually brought as a "gift", or any other intoxicant available)

Since folks tend to drink the good stuff first, it is always the crap that is left by the time this pic was taken, about 2 hours post game. You should commend him for continuing to drink at all.

Well, that certainly explains it, Mergz...

I have sailed that boat before...

Here's a little tip though...

I keep a plastic traveler of Beam and a twelve pack of Guiness hidden at my tailgates specifically due to the fact that people drink all the good stuff first...

I then proceed to dole it out as seen fit afterwards...

Mostly to myself...

That one is free...

Gatorhippy,

The people at Mergz' tailgate are reprobates.

I am afraid that one would have would have the same likelihood of success in hiding beer from them as one would have hiding truffles from a pig.
