To Have Had a Defense

We posted on this topic in an earlier discussion about the success of the spread in the SEC, but it bears repeating at this point:

The 2007 Florida offense is one of the best.

Ever.

With one regular season game to go, Florida’s 2007 offensive effort ranks historically –

1. 1996 – 47 points per game
2. 2001 – 44.8 points per game
3. 2007 – 42.9 points per game (tie)
3. 1995 – 42.9 points per game (tie)

Here’s hoping Saturday’s effort moves the 2007 offense firmly into 3rd place alone.

Cheerful thought: Next year offense will be as good or better, and defense will be better. :-)
