Also worth a look I think is the Master Coaches Survey, where former great coaches get assigned games and they all discuss them to come up with a poll. We're talking some serious coaching resumes here: Vince Dooley, Pat Dye, Gene Stallings, John Robinson, Tom Osborne, and several others. The weakest resume is probably R.C. Slocum, and he's the winningest coach in Texas A&M history.
The first poll doesn't come out until September 16 to avoid preseason bias, so it's not out yet, but it's one to keep an eye on. There's some serious credibility behind the guys on it. http://www.mcspoll.com
