He forgot the meaning of the word pity

I inadvertently caught the Bobby Bowden show today and all I can say is wow! First of all the graphics and the studio look like they were designed in the 70s. I don't know what's bigger, Bowden's belly or Gene Deckerhoff's man boobs. But the pitiful thing was how Bobby was trying to prove to the audience how he's really "with us". He kept mentioning last week's game against Clemson (see he remembers) and making comparison's to to UAB. "Number 23 makes a great tackle right here," he says, or words to that effect. And no FSU production would be complete without an appearance by Burt Reynolds and his mustache. What almost got lost in the whole thing was that the Noles came within a hair of losing Alabama-Birmingham and rounding out the day's upsets. It wouldn't have upset me one bit though.

Quality article, really, quality.

Yes the show is pretty bad, but I've seen plenty of bad Gator productions too.

Ah c'mon Bill. You have to look at this in the context of my other "pity" posts. Besides my Gators haven't had a chance to stumble yet. The season begins this week.
