An example of preparing to fail

One of my favorite John Wooden quotes is "if you fail to prepare you are preparing to fail".

Here is a good example of that - yikes.

Are you sure that's fair? I heard the part about "jotting down a few things on the car ride over," but even if she'd written the Gettysburg Address could she have delivered it? I doubt it. I have a done quite a bit of public speaking, some people can do it and others simply can't. I do hope she is not invited back. How'd she turn 45 seconds into four minutes?

She's old, and public speaking may not be her forte. I bet she's a great lady, tho.

If she wasn't a good speaker then she should have either said no thank you or actually prepared for the speach.

I think it is funny that she repeated the line "what do you think I should get". A friend of mine, that was at the Orange Bowl pre-game function the year FSU played PSU, told me that when the Paternos started talking about giving back to the University (for those of you that don't know the Paternos give significantly to Penn St. annually) Ann's response was that FSU should be giving them more money not the other way around.
