1 Mizzou

4 Georgia
5 Sooners
6 Gators
7 USC
8 LSU
9 Jayhawks

Interesting how the Big 12 teams progressed into the elite group this year. How did Mizzou come out of nowhere from last year to become the top team in college today?

Personally, I am highly suspect of either OSU or WVU because of their relatively easy schedules. But Mizzou has (and will, if they beat OK) proved themselves. A talented QB and a wide open offense have made it happen.

ND at 21 is way off. Notre Dame was in a BCS bowl, they are Notre Dame, AND they were in the midst of returning to glory. Such awesomeness cannot be denied by your number-crunching.

Seriously, your system seems good.

For years now Mizzou has been one of those teams that looked very dangerous at the start of each season, but somehow managed to muck it all up. It could be as simple as Pinkel learning from his mistakes, and Mizzou finally living up to its potential (a little late for poor Brad Smith, however.)

Actually, the great thing about ND's year is that, since they are likely to do better next year, they can continue to Return to Glory! No sideways movement there.
