How do you like your eggs?

EXTRA LARGE PLEASE.

On December 10, 1937 the Miami Hurricanes played their first game in the Orange Bowl. They were shut out by the Georgia Bulldogs 26-0. So it is only fitting that in their last game at the Orange Bowl, almost exactly 70 years later, the Canes got blanked 48-0. Ouch.

According to the Miami Herald the crowd numbered 62,106, well short of the stadium's 75,000+ capacity. A lot of them stayed until the end, I suppose wanting to be there as a chapter was closed on local history. They had hoped to send the Orange Bowl out with a bang, instead it was a thud. "It was the worst home loss since Dec. 8, 1944, a 70-14 defeat to Texas A&M -- UM's worst loss ever."
