Sagarin vs. Vegas, Weekly Results

Sagarin suggested: Take UK and the 3.5 points

Result: The visor wins and covers, -$110
Wisconsin at Illinois
Vegas Favorite: Illinois -2.5
Sagarin suggested: Take Illinois and lay the 2.5 points

Result: Illinois wins and covers, +100
Georgia at Tennessee
Vegas Favorite: UT -1.5
Sagarin suggested: Take UGA and the 1.5 points

Result: Fulmer laid the wood to Richt, -$110

Oklahoma at Texas
Vegas Favorite: Oklahoma -11
Sagarin suggested: Take Oklahoma and lay the 11 points

Result: The Sooners won but failed to cover, -$110

Virgina Tech at Clemson
Vegas Favorite: Clemson -5
Sagarin suggested: Take Virginia Tech and the 5 points.

Result: Beamer Ball reigns, the Hokies win and easily cover, +$100
Weekly Summary: 2-3, losing $130.

Year to date results: 8-17, losing $1,070

Playing the other side: If you had bet against Sagarin you'd be 17-8 and be playing with $820 of the house's money.

A week shy of the half way point in the season for most teams, and I'm still not overly impressed with the predictive abilities of his system. I am interested to see if the trend will continue over the 2nd half of the season, or if it improves upward, now we have a reasonable idea of how good these teams really are.
